| LA Astro hosts a lunch seminar series covering a broad range
of astrophysical topics. The hour long seminar is generally Wednesday
from 12-1pm. Announcements of this seminar series are sent to the LA
Astro mailing list, and can also be found on the LA Astro Seminar
Schedule webpage. The location for the seminar varies according
to space availability, but is generally in one of the following
locations:
AMTL Conference Room: Located in the Research Park (aka Motorola Building) on the North side of Jemez Road (just west of the Fire Station, in the same building with Hot Rocks Cafe.) To get to the conference room, enter the building through the doors on the south eastern end of the building (one floor down from Hot Rocks). You will see signs for the AMTL conference room pointing you straight down a hall (through some doors that are usually open). Take the first left and the conference room will be ahead and to the left, just past the restrooms. Oppenheimer Study Center: Located in the same building with the Library. The talks tend to be in one of the conference rooms on the second floor, though the room number varies. To get to the second floor, enter through the library and take the elevator on your right to the second floor. The Cochiti room is near front of the building on your far right. Room 240 is in the rear of the building on the left. T-Division Conference Room: Located in building SM-123, right off of Diamond Dr. (see map below). The conference room is near the north eastern corner of the building. Moon Room: Located in building SM-40 (see map below). Once inside the building, there are signs directing you to the Moon Room. The easiest way to get there is to enter the building through the doors at the west end of the long, narrow parking lot in front of SM-40. Go left down the hall, and the conference room will be on your left. |
